I have been a Martial Arts School Owner for many years.
The old days of marketing are over. There are a ton of ex-school owners out
there still telling us what works, or used to work.
Things Have Changed and They Are Not Going Back!
I am in the trenches everyday too. Bringing in new students has always been "the" challenge and still is- even more. I remember a couple of years ago anyone could slap together an Ad and bring in a bunch of new students, I remember bringing in a couple of new students everyday! The Good Old Days...
The Good Old Days of Marketing Are Over!
When the "Challenging Economic" times are over, there will be very few schools standing. When money is tight, consumers don't value the intangible things in life, like Martial Arts.
There Are A Few Things We Can Do...
#1 We need to keep the students we have. Retention has always been a part of everyone's operational plan, but not a huge part. Hey, if it is difficult to bring them in, it's doubly important to keep them once we do!

#2 Lead Generation. I know, first hand, that print Ads are pretty much worthless. Don't get me wrong- I am a firm believer in the principle: "You have to keep your business at the Top of Your Prospects Mind." Problem is- when there is no ROI on a recurring Ad campaign, it's very difficult to keep paying the advertisers! We are in the "here and now".
#2 NEW Lead Generation Ideas
No surprises yet... We still need to bring in new students and keep them. Here are some of the things I do.
This blog, I am slowly bringing all of my content here. Click Here...
This has a lot of things too. MartialArtsMarketingIdea
