Hayabusa Pro MMA Gloves $56 vs UFC Official Fight Gloves $44
May 2nd
In this article I would like to compare 2 brands of MMA Gloves: the UFC official Fight Gloves to the Hayabusa Pro MMA Gloves. Both are excellent competition gloves and they both have an excellent reputation as being gloves that are great for the cage.
See UFC Fight Glove Video Now…
The padding of the Hayabusa Gloves weighs about the same as the UFC gloves but the UFC gloves padding is more centralized over the knuckles where the padding of the Hayabusa gloves is more dispersed and covers more of the hand. The UFC gloves have one big pad.
See Hayabusa Video Review Now…
The wrist support of the UFC gloves is a single wrap with no adjustment. Next time you watch a fight, you will notice the gloves are taped to keep them secure. The Hayabusa gloves also have a single wrist wrap but they also have an added inner cinching strap that allows the fighter to first tighten the inner side of the wrist then a final outer wrap. This feature also allows for easier on and off of the gloves.
The palms of the UFC gloves are completely open. The thumb is not impeded at all. This allows for complete grabbing while grappling. The Hayabusa Gloves have a “Y” type of palm design. I am not exactly sure what this accomplishes, but I think it may have to do with hand fatigue. The “Y” design helps when flexing so your hand muscles do not get so tired.
The Construction of the UFC gloves is top quality leather, where the Hayabusa are a synthetic material, which is very much like leather. Both have excellent graphic printing and both have superior stitching.
Some of the customer comments/complaints I have received are not too many for these 2 gloves. Some people do not like the longer finger padding. They say it makes it difficult to make a tight fist- I have to agree. The UFC gloves are very hard. I think I would rather be hit with a bare fist. After see the UFC gloves, you will have a new appreciation for the UFC fighters.
The Hayabusa Pro MMA Gloves Retail at most stores for $64.99 and can be found for $56.
The UFC Official Fight Gloves Retail at $54 and can be found for $44.

Small/Med
Large/X-Large
The Gloves come in Black with the classic Red Logo and are also available with the Silver “distressed” looking logo
There are no surprizes with the sizes. As a person of average build, 6 foot 200 pounds, the Large/X-Large fit best. If you are looking for a tight fit, you could go with the smaller size- but they will be tight. Don’t forget to consider hand and wraps too…
The gloves are great at first, but after a while they begin to fray along the edges and one of my students complained that they were bothering one of his fingers. The simulated leather is what makes them not one of my first choices. I do like the long wrist strap that allows for increased wrist support. Another plus- they don’t cost a lot so if you go through them quick it will not be as painful.

Renegade’s Video Product Review
Manufacturing Information
The Ultimate Training Gloves are Manufactured and distributed by Century Martial Arts, an Oklahoma based company. The gloves are actually sewn together in Pakistan and then shipped to the United States.
Colors
Comes in Red/Black or Silver/Black
Sizing
The Training Gloves come in Adult Small, Medium, Large, XL, XXL
As a 6 foot, 200 lb. person, I normally use a size large. The Training size large was a good fit. I found that the XL fit a little too big. Unlike the Official Fight Gloves they do not expand and contract, they are not real leather. They are pretty much the same as the Official Fight’s except they are fake leather. Nice training glove.
Customers’ Comments
this product i use it to practice my boxing skills, at the instant i put them on fells grate, like a pro, i just dont like that is just a liltle big .. thats all but above all is grate ..
I use the gloves when i go to my Thai boxing classes down the street. The gloves are almost like their not even there.
These gloves work out so well for training, messing around, and very cool to wear. I’ve actually never seen these in Milwaukee nor seen anyone else have them in Milwaukee, and lots of people who see me fight always wonder where did I get them from and how good they are. I simply answer, UFC Store and if you want quality gloves that’s where you better go to and quit messing around with the gloves from other sites.
Wow My son loves these gloves good thing i bought these ones instead of the other ones these are probably the best ones
Great fit for him. There is nothing wrong with these gloves AT ALL!!!
Training in Kickboxing and Jui-jitsu and these gloves are great

MMA Gloves-Major Brands
Sep 5th
When you begin your quest for a quality pair of MMA gloves, you are going to find 3 main brands: UFC, Fairtex and Combat sports. All 3 are great companies and you will find that only their look and design features are all that set them apart.
UFC MMA Gloves
Most popular are the UFC brand. The UFC Official Fight cost about $54.99 and when you use them up- you will probably feel bad about throwing them away. This is the only glove approved to be worn by UFC fighters in the Octagon™. The only glove tested and approved by the UFC® and required in the Octagon® for all Ultimate Fighting Championship® events.
Combat Sports MMA Gloves

Combat Sports is endorsed by world champion fighters, instructors, promoters and sanctioning bodies worldwide as the leader and innovator in MMA Gloves.
Combat Sports equipment is “Engineered for Top Performance”. Combat Sports has become one of the hottest brands in the Combat Sports equipment industry with over 25 distributors worldwide. Combat Sports’ collection of fighting gloves include both sparring and competition style gloves.
They have Mexican style pro training gloves, MMA Shin Guards, grappling shin guards, grappling gloves, mma rash guards, mma training gloves and more.
I do a lot of bag work, so I really like the wrist support of this glove. It has a really long strap that allows a double wrap. The glove also saves your hands from getting torn up with a good ¾ inches of padding.
Fairtex Gloves

Ah- Fairtex… What nice gloves. In my line of work, I have used many brands of gloves- UFC, Combat Sports, Hayabusa, Century. Fairtex have a great fit and perform quite well. The MMA competition gloves have good padding and a nice wrist strap design. The sparring gloves have tons of padding and also a nice long wrist strap.
Things to Consider
Before you run out and buy a pair of MMA Gloves, there are a few things to consider. What will you be using them for, how much are you willing to spend and how much does brand mean to you…
I recommend to my customers that training gloves do not have to be expensive. Why spend a fortune on gloves that will be used-up and sweaty?
Many fighters are into the vanity thing- well at least until the first time they get punched in the nose and their eyes well-up with tears. Get past the looks and get a good glove!
Shop around. When you are ready to purchase, go here for the best prices on all MMA gloves…

Fairtex equipment is “Engineered for Top Performance”. Under Mr. Wong’s and Mr. Lin’s leadership and support from our distributors and loyal customers, Fairtex has become one of the hottest brands in the combat sports equipment industry with over 25 distributors worldwide; recognized as the leader and innovator for high impact sports equipment; and the leading authority in Muay Thai having produced over 60 champions with titles such as Lumpinee, Rajadamnern, WBC Muay Thai, WMC, ISKA and other world championship titles.
Amongst Fairtex’s collection of fighting gear, they have different types of excellent MMA Training Gloves. They have many varieties of gloves depending on your usage, whether it is training, mma fighting, etc. They have Mexican style pro training gloves, regular training gloves, mma sparring gloves, Muay Thai bag gloves, pro competition gloves and more.
There are differences in the gloves, such as with the Mexican pro training gloves, for example, differing with regular MMA training gloves. The Mexican style pro training gloves are high density, compressed training gloves for heavy pounding on bags, pads, and focus mitts, yet not recommended for sparring. They are efficiently balanced for an extra-tight fit, and the dual-layered latex foam core delivers protection with solid force-feedback. Regular training gloves are all-purpose MMA training gloves perfect for bag and pad work. The wraparound hook and loop wristband is easy to use and designed to provide a better fit for greater comfort and control. Evenly distributed padding protects your entire hand and creates a tight and compact design. Unlike the Mexican pro training gloves, these gloves can be used in sparring. This example shows that Fairtax provides you with the best gloves for whatever you are involved in. At Fairtex, their motto is to “Be Inspired”.
East Coast Meets West Coast – Renegade MMA Gear and Nevertap Fightwear
Jul 3rd
Renegade MMA Gear and Nevertap Fightwear are in talks surrounding a possible mutually beneficial business arrangement. Renegade MMA Gear is an emerging Florida based Mixed Martial Arts Gear retailer and manufacturer. Renegade’s president, Mark Beagle, is a martial arts school owner in West Pam Beach Florida. Beagle has been in the Martial Arts business many years and has been practicing Taekwondo, Ryuku Kempo and Hapkido for over 25 years. Renegade MMA Gear is Martial Arts Supply Company by “Martial Artists, for Martial Artists.” Renegade does not have its own line of apparel.
Nevertap Fightwear is owned by California resident Rick “The General” Cartwright. Nevertap has a strong presence on the west coast and Hawaii and is now branching out into Florida. Cartwright also has a long history in the martial arts and a passion for the Mixed Martial Arts sport and many years practicing Kung Fu.
Together Nevertap Fightwear and Renegade MMA Gear want to give the MMA Gear Retail giants a run for their money. The 2 companies offer official UFC Gloves, Assorted MMA Gloves, MMA Shorts, Rash Guards, MMA Shin Guards and other MMA Gear. Nevertap Fightwear carries a popular line of novelty T-Shirts and women’s wear. The Company is also releasing a new line of MMA Fightwear as well as Renegade MMA’s very own MMA Training Gloves.
“We’re each going to start on one side of the country and meet in the middle somewhere,” said Beagle. Both companies pride themselves on personal contact with their customers and fans and also bring to bear their many years of martial arts experience. They truly are MMA retailers “by Martial Artists, For Martial Artists!”
Renegade's New MMA Training Glove
Jul 3rd
Materials
“My Little Friend” by RenegadeMMAgear are made of genuine, top quality leather. The UFC Trainer is made of some type of simulated leather. The problem with simulated leather is that once it starts to wear, it does not stretch then regain its shape like real leather, it tears.
Click here for the Renegade MMA Training Glove
Both of these gloves do have a good wrist strap. The strap itself is long enough to go around the wrist 2 times. But I must say, and since I am writing the review, that the tie goes to the My Little Friend glove. A good wrist support system is very important, especially in training gloves. When you are beating away on a heavy bag, it’s easy to twist your wrist just like you would twist your ankle. I know, I have used the old style bag gloves that have no wrist support and I have messed up my wrist.
Coolness
How cool a glove is almost as important as how it performs. The My Little Friend is probably the coolest glove on the market. That’s what separates Tony tribute glove from all the others- it’s also a quality glove. If you stick the UFC trainer in your opponent’s face you can’t say much else. With the Tony- “Say Hello to My Little Friend”.
Craftsmanship
Both the Century brand and the Renegade MMA brand have a great deal of quality in their products. Again, since I am the writer- the Tony model takes it.
